In 2005, Breguet launched the iconic Tradition collection with the model 7027, which was the first time the brand showcased the mechanical structure of the movement from the front. The Tradition series has been a source of inspiration for other brands, but few have managed to create pieces that can truly compete with it. Over the years, the family of this series has continued to grow, and at this year’s Basel Watch Fair, Breguet introduced a new addition to the Tradition collection—the Breguet Tradition 7097 with retrograde small seconds.
Review of the ZF Factory Breguet Tradition 7097 Replica Watch

The ZF Factory presents a superlative creation in the Breguet Tradition series! An automatic retrograde seconds watch is here! After nearly four years of dedicated research and development on the movement, this masterpiece has been crafted with great care! — It achieves all the original functions! The watch dimensions of 40mm x 11.65mm are consistent with the genuine version. With rich experience in replication, ZF has finely polished the case, creating a simple yet exquisite design, and the slim case enhances elegance! The top and bottom are made of a single piece of sapphire crystal, providing unparalleled transparency that fully showcases Breguet’s classic design. The ultra-precise 1:1 original movement has been developed. The components such as the bridges, gears, escapement mechanism, and mainspring box, which are usually hidden beneath the dial, are now clearly exposed. The secrets of precise mechanical operation are presented before your eyes without reservation. The retrograde seconds hand at 10 o’clock displays the seconds. It operates entirely as an automatic mechanical watch. This replica achieves all the functions of the original and is one of the best-crafted movement products among current replicas. The black hand-stitched Italian leather with crocodile pattern pairs perfectly with Breguet’s classic screw-down buckle, offering a perfect feel and ultimate experience.

The movement is constructed exactly like the original, featuring a double-sided true energy display with a platinum-plated movement and blued hands. Components that are usually concealed beneath the plates, such as bridges, mainspring boxes, transmission gears, escapement mechanisms, and other movement parts, are directly showcased on the dial, revealing the secrets of precise mechanical operation.

In the center of this watch, the mainspring box is clearly visible, while at the 4 o’clock position, the balance wheel rhythmically oscillates on a well-proportioned bridge. Between 6 and 9 o’clock, the transmission wheel system rotates slowly and methodically. The active transmission system is completely exposed, illustrating the mystery of time’s passage. The watch features classical-style welded rounded lugs that are small and delicate for comfortable wear, and it uses screws to secure the strap, adding to its vintage charm.

ZF Factory presents this sincere masterpiece—inviting all watch enthusiasts to appreciate it! There are three models available in the Tradition series! The official model numbers are as follows: Rose Gold 7097BR/G1/9WU, Blue 7097BB/GY/9WU, and Gray 7097BB/G1/9WU.
Comparison of ZF Factory Breguet Tradition 7097 Replica Watch with Genuine Model
First and foremost is the price—just a joke! But it serves as a reminder not to expect both to be identical. The replica aims for a visually similar appearance; if worn, it’s hard to tell them apart as long as the movement performance is stable. The price of replica watches is only a fraction of that of genuine ones, so expecting them to be indistinguishable is unrealistic.
The images above show genuine models; from the back, it’s hard to notice differences. However, if you compare carefully with genuine models, there are several points to consider: First, the distance between the standard parts of the energy display and the lower rotating wheel support differs significantly; the genuine model has a closer distance while the replica has a farther one. Second, not all screws correspond perfectly. Third, there’s a slight color difference in the golden gears. However, this can only be discovered through direct comparison with genuine models; if simply worn, it’s hard to see any differences.
The back of the replica also achieves a matte finish; differences are very subtle. For example, while there may be an almost imperceptible color difference in the golden rotating wheel, I believe that the main distinguishing factor on the back is related to Breguet’s logo font processing technology—replicas have raised lettering while genuine ones are engraved. This point shows a significant difference. Other screw positions also exhibit slight deviations.
