Patek Philippe Flyback Chronograph Annual Calendar 5905/1A, a new winning combination

Keeping up with the times, the manufacturer from Plan-les-Ouates is presenting one of its flagship models that combines a beautiful movement in a rare steel version.

While steel is common for some, it is becoming a collector’s item at Patek Philippe. Only 28 timepieces in this metal will be sold by the end of this year. Among them, the new flyback chronograph annual calendar! After the refined variations in rose gold and platinum, now comes a decidedly sporty-chic design that combines a 42 mm diameter case with polished and satin-finished surfaces with a luminous olive green sunray dial. The time data are displayed in an equally airy and contrasting layout. The rapid seconds hand and the 60-minute chronograph counter at 6 o’clock are used to measure and display short periods of time. Inside this accumulator, a discreet marking designates day and night according to its white or black color. The annual calendar remains in the upper part of the composition. It only needs to be corrected once a year, on March 1. The day, date and month are displayed in corresponding windows arranged in an arc.

The chronograph with flyback function is equipped with the CH 28-520 QA 24H movement. This sophisticated mechanism generates a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. The 21K gold rotor of the automatic movement, embossed with the manufacturer’s logo, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

This elegant timepiece, with reference 5905/1A, comes with a bracelet made of the same material as the case and closed with a secure folding clasp.
