Richard Miller RM 33-02 Automatic

The evolution of aesthetics gives new life to the sporty chic model. Becoming the first automatic rounded model in TPT® Carbon Fiber.
In 2011, the RM 033 was perfect. The evolution launched at the end of 2019, the RM 33-02 Automatic, still adopts this geometric shape. However, the redesigned lines of the 42 mm case are inspired by the barrel shape that appears in Richard Mille’s current production. From this point on, the bezel is in TPT® Carbon Fiber and the bezel is in red gold, which enhances this aesthetic feature. While the original model embodied a refined beauty with its 8.8mm thickness, the evolution is ultra-flat and only 6.2mm high. Despite this significant difference, the watchmaker has managed to integrate the same RMXPA1 movement with a bidirectional off-centered rotor (45 hours power reserve) visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.

As for the dial, the presentation has also been completely redesigned, except that the hour and minute hands retain their shape. The movement’s highly graphic skeletonized and black PVD-coated titanium bridges provide a dynamic backdrop for the stylized and oversized Roman gold metal numerals. They are mounted on two round titanium rails fixed directly to the movement. The fact that the assembly is surrounded by a randomly patterned bezel and six spline screws increases the versatility of the RM 33-02 automatic.
To reinforce its character, both sporty and stylish, this limited edition of 140 pieces is presented on a black rubber strap.
