These limited series boast structural enhancements that breathe new life into the perpetual calendar created by Stephen McDonnell. A super appreciated EVOlution!
To cope with the possibility of wearing an MB&F watch during intense and adventurous activities, the Friends conceived a tailored, rugged model fit for action. In short, the zirconium case of the Legacy Machine Perpetual EVO retains its original 44mm diameter size, but the bezel disappears, replaced by a newly designed sapphire crystal dome welded to the middle of the case. The pushers are more wearer-friendly and oval in shape. And, now that the crown is screwed down, the case is water-resistant to 80 meters. To ensure that the movement is effectively protected, a new ring-shaped shock-absorbing system called FlexRing has been developed, which is made from a single piece of steel. It absorbs shocks, bumps and vibrations on multiple axes and ensures that the large balance wheel remains firmly in place.
The most practical of all grand complications, perfectly fixed within the case, comes to life in a completely new setting. Here, the time data is easy to read, especially thanks to the three different colors adorning the dial. Only fifteen pieces of each version are issued. One is coated using a black PVD treatment (physical vapor deposition), another is coated using a blue CVD process (chemical vapor deposition). As for the third, its shade is produced by a groundbreaking CVD application method.
To ensure unparalleled wearing comfort, the lugs of the rubber strap are integrated into the case, a metal that is more durable than titanium and has a natural silvered satin-brushed sheen.
