H. MOSER & CIE Endeavour Tourbillon Concept®

Aesthetically, the production of the piece is distinguished by the tones of degraded smoke. The new technology used opens up new aesthetic perspectives.

“Not one black, but many blacks,” said couturier Yves Saint Laurent. After discovering the dial of the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack,® one can only agree. Here, the technology developed by Surrey NanoSystems in 2014 finds a new outlet for expression. Composed of carbon nanotubes 10,000 times thinner than a hair, the coating absorbs 99.96% of light. The result? Black at a density never achieved before. To enhance this technical feature, Moser is returning to a concept it introduced in 2015 that leaves the dial free of any branding or logo. This ultra-refined presentation showcases the one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. The cage, wheels, balance and exhaust bridge are all machined from aerospace aluminum and coated with black PVD. This harder material optimizes the energy balance and guarantees better performance. A pair of leaf-shaped hour and minute hands fly across the entire assembly.

Housed in a 42 mm diameter white gold case, the HMC 804 automatic movement vibrates 21,600 times per hour. Its bidirectional winding system ensures a comfortable power reserve of at least 3 days. The sapphire caseback features a completely different dial with a red gold oscillating weight.

The 50-piece Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablak® is paired with a black alligator leather strap with a white gold folding clasp.
