Patek Philippe 5204 adds a new model | Split-seconds perpetual calendar chronograph 5204R-011

The split-second chronograph and perpetual calendar represent the most complex levels of chronograph and calendar functions, respectively. Therefore, the Patek Philippe 5204, which has both functions, is particularly important and representative in the hearts of collectors. Such a key model now has a new rose gold dial, adding a dream style to the market. This number combines precious metals with dark gray surfaces and straps for the first time, bringing a new look to this classic timepiece, presenting a modern gray rose gold style. The 5204 was first made of rose gold in 2006. At that time, two rose gold models were launched, including the 5204R-001 with a silver-toned milky white surface and a chocolate coffee-colored alligator leather strap, and the other 5204/1R with an opaline ebony surface and a rose gold Goutte teardrop bracelet.

The newly unveiled 5204R-011 has a gray sunburst dial that is easy to read. The parallel display window at 12 o’clock shows the day and month, and the moon phase display window is set at 6 o’clock, combined with the pointer to display the date. The subsidiary display discs at 9 and 3 o’clock are used for the small three-hand and 30-minute instantaneous jump counter. Two small round display windows are located between 4 and 5 o’clock and between 7 and 8 o’clock respectively. The former displays the leap year cycle, and the latter displays the day and night hours. These two functions help to accurately adjust the calendar. The rose gold three-dimensional hour markers and royal hands are coated with luminous coating, which can be clearly read day and night.

Through the sapphire glass case back, you can clearly appreciate the details of the CHR 29-535 PS Q movement. This movement was launched in 2012 with the watch number 5204P-001. The traditional structure of manual winding, two column wheels and lateral clutch are combined with seven patented innovative designs, six of which are for the chronograph function and one for the double-second chronograph device. The entire movement is hand-finished.

The new 5204R-011 watch is paired with a bright dark gray calfskin strap with an embossed crocodile leather texture on the surface and a rose gold folding buckle. It is equipped with a sapphire crystal transparent bottom cover and a gold case bottom cover for conversion.
