Richard Miller RM 72-01 Lifestyle Manufacture Chronograph

Available in four versions and equipped with the company’s first-ever in-house chronograph movement, this timepiece epitomizes the brand’s new face for the coming years.

With its RM 72-01 Lifestyle In-House Chronograph, Richard Mille unveils its first chronograph movement with a flyback function, developed and assembled in the brand’s workshops. Dial side, this reference synthesizes 20 years of history dedicated to micron-level creations. In the skeletonized layered architecture, two counters, 24 hours and 60 minutes, total short time and long time record, up to one day. The color code makes them easier to read in dedicated subdials, orange for minutes and green for hours. And, the centrally set direct drive hovers over the seconds. In addition to the blue small seconds hand, the numbers 3, 8 and 11 also attract the eye, located between the counters. The date, set in a vertical aperture at 7 o’clock, completes the ensemble. Everything is clearly legible.

As in all Richard Mille creations, performance-oriented innovation reigns supreme. In this case, it comes into play in the shape of an ingenious patented double clutch system with an oscillating pinion. Less cumbersome than a classic vertical clutch, this system allows the minutes and hours to be separated from the seconds to measure times up to a day. And, despite its 425 components, the CRMC1 is only 6.05 mm high. Every option considered in its assembly was to limit weight and optimize energy. The chronograph triggering function has minimal impact on the 50-hour power reserve, thanks to the 950 platinum oscillating weight made from a single piece of material.

Available in four case styles (38.40 x 47.34 x 11.68 mm), 5N red gold, titanium and white or black ceramic, it will adorn the wrists of both women and men.
