For this 14th edition of the Project Z collection, launched in 2004, Harry Winston continues the original concept of the collection: redefining the style of luxury sports watches. With this latest member, the brand once again combines innovative and iconoclastic design with cutting-edge watchmaking mechanisms. The new Project Z14 can be seen as an extension of the Project Z13, as both pieces are equipped with a zalium case with a diameter of 42.2 mm. This lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant zirconium-aluminum alloy was first used in the Z8 project launched in 2014. The shape of the case is slightly different from past products. The bezel and arch of this timepiece are chamfered, visually complementing the bevel of the openworked dial.
The hour and minute display is located at 12 o’clock. The hands move in a complex geometric design. Vertical and horizontal segments work together to create a linear feel. At 6 o’clock, the retrograde date of the Z13 is replaced by a retrograde seconds bow. The red seconds hand is arranged along the 120° arch of the 30-second scale in the brand’s signature color, sapphire blue. This timepiece is equipped with an automatic movement (power reserve 65 hours).
Limited to 300 pieces, it comes with a textile-effect rubber strap and is closed with a tang buckle.
