You may be familiar with the blue, black, and grey versions of Longines’ serious, carefree Diver collection. Now, they’ve added a new color to this kaleidoscopic underwater watch, with two shades of green.
The first will appear in their main collection and is called Khaki Green, which is rounded out by a matte finish on the dial and a solid ceramic bezel. This one will be available in either a 41mm or 43mm stainless steel case, and will come with a matching metal bracelet and a green rubber strap, which you can quickly switch without tools thanks to an easy-change system that appears to unlock the strap at the press of a button.
The second version, sold in bright green with a vertically brushed finish on the dial, will be a boutique exclusive and will only be available in the 41mm case size. This added texture on the dial gives the watch some real depth and can be considered another dive watch. It will also be available with two interchangeable strap options.
It certainly has all the features a modern diver would expect, with 300m water resistance, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and Longines’ impressive L888 automatic movement that offers a 64-hour power reserve. If that wasn’t proof enough that this watch doesn’t mess with the crown guards here, it offers some serious protection and is practically begging to be beaten and tested underwater.
