Building on the Superman legacy, the new Yema French Air Force pieces are built in collaboration with the modern French Air Force and designed to meet their exacting equipment specifications. That means these are some serious hardware.
The limited edition duo certainly looks the part. Available in either steel or black DLC, they have the legible, legible, tactical look of an aviation watch, with the diving specs of the original Superman and the iconic locking crown – the ultimate air-to-sea watch. Both are powered by Yema’s rugged in-house manufactured movements, assembled in Morteau and boasting a 45-hour power reserve.
Limited to 1,948 pieces each, the new creations unsubtly nod to Yema’s founding year, and are presented in the form of a French Air Force branded travel case, official pilot canvas strap and original heritage bracelet.
The Yema Superman French Air Force Limited Edition watch is available now, with a 10% early bird discount if you order before May 5. That brings an already great-priced watch down to €1,079 – around just under £1,000. That’s a lot of eye candy for your money; we can see why the French Air Force loves them.
