Hamilton x “Tenet” movie joint deep diving titanium limited edition 888 pieces

Any new Christopher Nolan film is worth getting excited about; from the twisty callbacks of Memento to the incomparably epic Dark Knight trilogy, the director has put very little wrong throughout his career, practically defining his own genre along the way.

In typical Nolan fashion, the new film Tenet is being kept appropriately mysterious. While we know it stars BlacKkKlansman’s John David Washington and a cast of the director’s alumni, actual plot details are still being kept under lock and key in the pain of litigation – though we imagine the palindrome of the title has something to do with it.

What we do know is that it’s part spy thriller, with Washington’s as-yet-unnamed protagonist trying to prevent World War III from starting. The twist? Something called time inversion. We don’t know what that is, but it sounds pretty cool. If only we could make sense of it, apparently.

Interestingly, we know a little more about the commissioned timepiece for the film. Working with Hamilton, whose custom watches played a starring role in the epilogue of Interstellar, this new watch is a beast.

Based on the titanium khaki navy BeLOWZERO, the watch we’ll see on camera took 18 months to design and create with the help of Tenet production designer Nathan Crowley. The 46mm black watch will be hard to miss.

How it will be used in the film – Nolan’s obsession with time often gives new meaning to timepieces – we can only speculate. But you can buy a limited edition of 888 pieces for £1,890 – eagle-eyed people will note that this is in honor of the palindrome of the film’s title. Movie tie-in or not, that’s a lot of money to pay attention to.
