To end the beauty of a year that is usually complicated, the Biel-based watchmaker has launched three new products that are very elegant, both in terms of the choice of case materials and in terms of the colors used on the dials.
They say that life is made of choices. Omega has made this choice not easy by launching three elegant timepieces a few weeks before the end of the year. In fact, the Biel-based watchmaker continues its creative momentum, already quite prolific with the release of the acclaimed Speedmaster chronograph, offering three new references of the Constellation Globemaster Annual Calendar. To further complicate this choice, which has proven to be a difficult one, he offers cases machined in exquisite materials and intense dial colors.
Born in 2015, the Constellation Globemaster Annual Calendar embodies the first Master Chronometer certified series, guaranteeing reliability and precision. It adopts two typical features of watches from the 1950s: the fluted bezel surrounding the 41 mm diameter case and the 12-sided “Pie Pan” dial. This pleated face, available in green, burgundy or Sedna ticker gold, displays the month in a central hand-painted graphic.
These new watches are powered by the OMEGA Chronometer family calibre 8922, an automatic movement with a 55-hour power reserve. It drives the central hours, minutes and seconds, the date at 6 o’clock and, of course, the month.
The case, forged in steel, features a tungsten carbide or Sedna ticker gold bezel or is made entirely of this precious alloy for its unique shine, and is paired with an alligator leather strap that matches the dial or in shiny black to echo the onyx-set hour markers and hands.
