Tissot T-TOUCH connects to solar energy, the world is at your fingertips

After 4 years of development and 35 patent applications, the company has launched a long-awaited connected version of the famous tactile watch created from Le Locle, which specifically proposes an activity tracker and a message and call notification system.

Long before the boom of portable mobile phones with touchscreens and long before smartwatches became popular, Tissot challenged the watchmaking industry with a center stage Swiss watch that offered more than just the time at the tap of a finger on the dial. Twenty years on and after dozens of changes, the T-Touch now embraces connectivity and becomes the T-Touch Connect Solar while pursuing its position as a “true” Swiss-made timepiece.

This novel watch is a multi-functional tool, water-resistant to 100 meters and weighing only 92 grams despite its 47 mm diameter, it is made of titanium with a ceramic bezel and is available in 4 styles: satin-brushed, black PVD with white decorations or orange decorations with rose gold PVD. On the side of the case, two “start” and “back” buttons and the electronic crown unlock the touchscreen and allow the wearer to navigate the menus. The menus are quite comprehensive and, in addition to the functions traditionally present on the T-Touch Expert Solar (perpetual calendar, time zones, barometer, alarms, etc.), propose an activity tracker that measures steps taken and calories burned, as well as a message and call notification system. Everything is displayed on the MIP screen that covers the bottom of the dial.

This watch, compatible with iOS and Android, is equipped with its own low-energy operating system, which, together with the photovoltaic cell embedded in the dial, will require recharging only once or twice a year.
