This vintage-designed timepiece debuts in a limited series of 1,973 pieces, entering the catalog in three variations of three unique colors.
Inspired by the success of the Heritage Navigator 1973 Limited Edition launched in 2019, Tissot has decided to commercialize three models that reiterate the decoration of this model. All watches feature the same cushion-shaped steel case, 43 mm large and 46.6 mm long, with a polished satin-brushed finish. A flange with a tachymeter scale surrounds the dial and the counters positioned in three apertures. The first of the three reproduces the two-color style known as the panda, off-white and black. The second proposes these same tones, but in reverse order. As for the third, it combines a blue dial with white counters. To distinguish these 2020 models, the Locle brand has taken the liberty of painting the circular part of the 30-minute totalizer of the chronograph set at 3 o’clock in blue.
The measurements of short cycle times can be easily read thanks to the orange robes in the style of the Seventies on the hands. The time data and date are powered by a self-winding movement. Henceforth, it is the Valjoux A05. H31 calibre, not the 7753, which is housed in a vintage case. Once fully wound, its performance provides a power reserve of at least 60 hours, compared to more than 40 hours for the 2019 version. The engraved rotor is stunning through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Each Heritage 1973 watch is fitted with a perforated pilot-style strap. For the three models, it is made of black, brown or cognac calfskin and is connected by a folding clasp.
