The brand with the crown emblem introduces a new, larger diameter for its watches, which are considered the most timeless and purest in terms of aesthetic style and functionality.
The words of founder Hans Wilsdorf (1881-1960) “Faites surtout du beau travail” (“Above all, do one good thing”) echo like a mantra, his legacy is concentrated in these five simple French words, which, when put together, epitomize the history of Rolex. Great work… The brand with the crown emblem does this every day, as illustrated once again through the new references that enhance the Oyster Perpetual collection. These newcomers stand out first of all with their novel diameter, 41 mm to suit any wrist, even the most slender, replacing the 39 mm diameter that withdrew from the catalog at the end of summer.
It goes without saying that the Oyster Perpetual is the most timeless, simple and elegant watch in the Rolex collection. It carries only the essential time data, namely the hours, minutes and seconds, driven by the new 3230 movement, which is set to 4 Hz and offers a huge power reserve of 70 hours once fully wound.
The case middle is carved directly from a block of the durable 904L stainless steel alloy Oystersteel, adorned with a curved bezel and finished with a sapphire crystal. The background face is decorated with fine grooves, and the crown increases the water resistance to a depth of 100 meters.
The dial is available in two colors: silver-toned, a refined champagne hue diffused by the hour markers, the baton-style hands made of yellow gold, painted with chromoly, a blue luminous material proprietary to Rolex, and deep black highlighted by white gold displays.
